Ear Candling

This alternative treatment is growing in popularity in that there is no discomfort to the patient and the results are rewarding.

In the past, ‘coning’ was used as a remedy of choice for ear infections, candida, fungus growth, ear aches etc.

Today, ear candling is primarily used for the cleaning of the ears and to promote a healthy atmosphere in the ears, sinus cavities and the throat.

Ear candles are handmade from unbleached linen, soaked in beeswax and honey extracts to harden, and then herbal blends such as St John’s Wort, sage and camomile, are added for extra value.

Other potential benefits may also be derived from these treatments :

  • Regulates ear pressure

  • Assists with relief from post-nasal drip

  • Relieves sinusitis

  • Relief from tinnitus [ringing in the ears], vertigo and 'swimmer's ear'

  • Soothing of ear irritations

  • Promotes proper ear fluid circulation

  • Aids the removal of excessive ear wax
